D’modes is a French fashion brand, introduced to the Asian market by Canada Aushire Enterprises. Area-17 gave voice to the themes of the collection designed by Francesco Scianni through a design that evoked a rarefied Parisian atmosphere, as well as the sophisticated but understated elegance of French women.

Gray and off-white shades module the interiors, while soft pink accents subtly stress the importance of certain areas. In an almost monochromatic environment, textures and materials play a most important role. Tall, French window-like partitions and mirror walls create visual and functional wings, reinforcing the Parisian-style concept.
The iris, a flower of delicate and feminine charm, inspired the interior décor. Its stylized representation creates unusual handles, sophisticated fabric weaves, sinuous upholstery, original display tables, and delicate wall pattern.

The spaces range from 1'000 and 5'000 square meters, and were designed for Megabox in Hong Kong, Yueda 899 in Shangai, and Grandview Mall in Guangzhou. They speak contemporary language comprised of technology, music, and cutting-edge design.
