MILAN, Italy 210 sqm 2018

The new Jacob Cohen boutique opened in Milan in via della Spiga, at the very heart of the Fashion Quad. The new store is spread over 200 sqm and over two storeys, where Area-17 combined the richness of details to neat geometries of linear elements and surfaces, according to a color palette which deftly mixes deep blue, gold, and neutral shades of beige and browns, giving that sense of preciousness and laid-back elegance that has always been the brand’s hallmark.

SHANGHAI, China 600 sqm 2017

Area-17 designed the Shanghai-based purchasing headquarter of Lojas Renner , leading South American fast-fashion company. Inspired by the concept of cooperative working, the layout consists of a vast, uninterrupted environment. Furniture is arranged to guarantee the maximum flexibility, while only few areas are devoted to specific functions. The graphic’s design plays a major role in clearly defining the space usage, as in the case of the mail area.

HONG KONG, China 60 sqm 2017

Regina Miracle is a fast-growing Asian brand creating simple, elevated essentials that provide comfort and optimal support for the modern girl. It roots in quality, integrity, and technological innovation. Area-17 designed the concept for the brand’s new stores drawing inspiration from the product itself and its target: a simple, homelike, and comfortable environment, which at the same time conveys an idea of a contemporary femininity and dynamism.

SHENZHEN, China 1'000 sqm 2017

Area-17 designed a precious gallery that connects the three Shui Wan 1979 residential towers to each other and to luxuriant urban parks surrounding the area. Copper glares from the ceiling beam across the space. Deliberately bare, it is furnished only with custom-made seats playing with the contrast between the rigorous volume in corian and the unevenly soft outline of plants.

CUENCA, Ecuador 400 sqm 2016

When the Moscoso family bought the Palacio de Cristal in 1995 it was almost in ruins. They then started the transformation process that eventually would restore it to its former splendor. It took years of patient and caring work by Gustavo Moscoso and his sister May, supported by Area-17’s Enrico Tomidei, a team of artisan restorers and local craftsmen to fulfill the vision conceived by the Moscosos and to gather a refined selection of unique pieces of furniture, chosen with the help of interior decorator Julio Vinueza.
