Graniti e Fiandre shows up at Coverings 2017 with a stand that takes inspiration from an imaginary XX century industrial New York and follows the stylistic features typical of a loft.
Iris Ceramica stand for Coverings draws inspiration from Area-17’s design for Cersaie 2016 and translates the original idea in a neater, minimalistic environment.
Materials from tradition, a simple design with a domestic flair, a renovated brand design characterize the new concept for Il Lupo Toscano, a classic benchmark for Tuscan home-cooked food offered in a fast-casual context.
ESP shopping mall in Ravenna doubles its size and services with a brand-new wing designed by Area-17 and INRES. 19'000 square meters, hosting 50 new businesses, makes of ESP one of the most relevant shopping mall in Italy, counting now over 100 stores. While harmonizing with the earlier architecture, the design is meant to provide strong visual evidence of the extension, to be read even on an urban scale.
Coverings is the most important trade event in North America for the ceramic and natural stone industry. The 2017 edition featured three stands designed by Area-17 for three renowned international brands, among which the Stonepeak Ceramics stand that was awarded with the “2017 Best In Show.”
When the Moscoso family bought the Palacio de Cristal in 1995 it was almost in ruins. They then started the transformation process that eventually would restore it to its former splendor. It took years of patient and caring work by Gustavo Moscoso and his sister May, supported by Area-17’s Enrico Tomidei, a team of artisan restorers and local craftsmen to fulfill the vision conceived by the Moscosos and to gather a refined selection of unique pieces of furniture, chosen with the help of interior decorator Julio Vinueza.
Formigine Ipercoop is the first Coop’s supermarket designed to be LEED Gold certified. From the exteriors to the interiors, each planning decision made by Area-17 and INRES focused on a logic of environmental sustainability and energy saving. A real tree embedded in the design of the façade reminds us of all the efforts made to think of architectural solutions in respect of the natural environment.
Jacob Cohen opened its newest boutique inside Ginza Six in Tokyo, a mixed-use complex with 47'000 sqm of retail space featuring high-end boutiques targeting both foreign tourists and domestic customers.
Between 2014 and 2015, Area-17 supported Tiffany & Co. in its expansion within the Asian market overseeing as the project manager the realization of six new boutiques, located in most prominent Asian capitals.
Area-17 was the project manager for the renovation of Prada boutique in Canton Road, a Hong Kong major tourist hub complete with many upscale shops and landmarks.
MareMà is a shopping mall designed by Area-17 and INRES within Parco Commerciale Grosseto, a significant intervention of urban renovation of the area north of Grosseto.
Coop’s Supermarket Of The Future at Bicocca Village is conceived as an experimental arena where shopping logics are tailored to the expectations of a young and well aware public, used to have everything at a mouse click.
